Spectrum of Imagination



I would like to share insights regarding a selection of my artwork, which I developed using a painting application that was launched in November 1985. At that time, I was just nine years old and attending NationHouse, a private school with a focus on African-centered education. This early exposure to a creative environment played a significant role in shaping my artistic journey.


It is important to note that my foray into the realm of digital art did not commence until several years after my initial experiences with traditional forms of creativity. The painting application, while groundbreaking for its time, was not the catalyst for my digital artistry; rather, it served as an early introduction to the possibilities of art in a digital format. My artistic development evolved gradually, influenced by various mediums and techniques over the years.


Reflecting on my artistic evolution, I recognize that the foundation laid during my formative years at NationHouse has been instrumental in my growth as an artist. The skills and concepts I absorbed during that period, combined with the advancements in technology and digital tools, eventually led me to embrace digital art more fully. This journey has allowed me to explore new dimensions of creativity, blending traditional influences with modern techniques to create unique works of art.

The title "Spectrum of Imagination" emphasizes the diverse array of hues and imaginative avenues that the artwork delves into, showcasing my inventive essence.     The necessity for acquiring whiteboards has diminished for me, as I ceased offering educational services back in 2018. Since that time, my focus has shifted entirely. I have been working on my branding and digital art where I utilize various digital applications to express my creativity. In this context, the color white serves a significant purpose, often representing simplicity and clarity in my artistic endeavors.    “The concept of Simple White embodies the essence of minimalism, where the purity of the color white acts as an open canvas for creativity and innovation, allowing ideas to flourish without the distractions of complexity. Stop Bullying

Stop bullying! I do not know how many times that I can express the fact that bullying is unwanted and repeated behavior. Some people are born petite and some people are not. I am petite. I attended NationHouse, Bell and the Corcoran. In each of these educational institutions, I experienced bullying. I am not a teenager. I was a teenager from 1989 - 1996.  When I interacted with teenagers as an adult, I find that many of them find being disrespectful and making jokes acceptable behavior. It is not. I refuse to stand by and remain silent when you know at a specific age that bullying is unkind behavior. Wrong is wrong and right is right.  Calling people all kinds of names because you want to have your candle brighter, benefits no one!
