Identity in Color. Digital art created on canvas. August 10, 2024.Afrika Abney
Repeatedly, I find the disregard shown towards my racial identity, stature, and varied background to be intolerable. The inequities I face as a Black American are profoundly unjust and cannot be overlooked. Such treatment not only undermines my dignity but also highlights a broader societal issue that demands attention and change.
The persistent disrespect directed at my race, physical height, and unique cultural heritage is simply unacceptable. As a Black American, I experience a range of injustices that are not only disheartening but also indicative of systemic problems that need to be addressed. This ongoing struggle for recognition and respect is a reflection of deeper societal biases that must be confronted.
The continuous lack of respect for my racial identity, physical attributes, and diverse background is a matter that cannot be ignored. The unfair treatment I endure as a Black American is a stark reminder of the inequalities that persist in our society. However, I find strength in the language I choose to use daily, as it serves to empower me and reinforce my identity in the face of adversity.
