Kaleidoscope

“The kaleidoscope represents the endless possibilities within human experience. Each of us has unique patterns that change in different lights. It symbolizes unlimited views, opportunities, and the release of blocked creativity. Kaleidoscope indeed gives us many life lessons. It teaches us the importance of colors, shapes & sizes, and how to maintain a unique, distinctive pattern. It boils down to the choice of whether you want to lift the Kaleidoscope and allow the light to pass through to bring vibrant, unique designs to life or not.” https://msafrikaabney.weebly.com/kaleidoscope-a-monthly-writing-club.html https://msafrikaabney.weebly.com/kaleidoscope-womens-writing-collective-accepting-new-members.html https://msafrikaabney.weebly.com/membership-announcement-kaleidoscope-womens-writing-collective.html https://msafrikaabney.weebly.com/kaleidoscope-women-of-color-reflecting-on-life-a-poetry-reading.html

Abstract collages on paper

During the time that I was providing services for the AACL event that took place on April 20, 2024, I also created numerous abstract collages on paper. Some of them, I have thrown away. The services for the events held in 2024 were done completely online.  April 18, 2024. Afrika Abney. 8 1/2 * 11. Collage on paper.  "An abstract collage is a piece of art made from images and pictures that have been distorted so that their origins are no longer visible. The process of creating an abstract collage can involve techniques such as tearing up images, pasting images on top of each other, or applying colored surfaces with straight or ripped edges. The word "collage" comes from the French verb coller, which means "to glue". It can refer to both the process of cutting and pasting materials onto a flat surface, as well as the final product. Collages can also include other media, such as painting and drawing, and can even have three-dimensional elements. Some principles of

Why do people pay so much for abstract art?

"Being unique and original, i.e. one of a kind can add greater value to a piece of abstract art, giving it an additional sense of exclusivity. Museums and art collectors look closely at its potential long-term investment. Many artworks, including abstract art, may increase in value over time. It requires years of training, hard work and experience to create an abstract masterpiece which charmingly represents the deep meaning being portrayed by the artist. As a result, there aren't any deductions in the prices of abstract paintings for sale." I pray that during the Summer of 2024, that people will purchase my abstract art. - https://msafrikaabney.weebly.com/art-services.html
