" The Anacostia Coordinating Council (ACC) was established in 1983 as a volunteer, membership consortium of organizations and individuals involved with the revitalization of Anacostia and its adjacent neighborhoods. Founded to organize community support for getting the Anacostia Metro Station built, the ACC has expanded to address a large amount of issues that face the community. ACC is involved in information gathering and sharing, networking, advocacy and community organizing." For several years, I have sent information via email to the Anacostia Coordinating Council for events launched by Esther Productions, Inc between 2019 - June 2024. Some of them include Discovering Me...Without You: An Annual Personal Essay Contest, The Discovery Summit & Scholarship Awards Ceremony, Me, Myself and Our Story: Creative Writing Institute for Young Ladies, African Americans and Children's Literature: A Symposium and Exhibition, and AACL Tour.
