2022 Digital abstract paintings "Black Woman" and "Women in Society

In my 2022 works "Black Woman" and "Women in Society," I utilize a rich palette of brown and black hues to explore and express the complexities of Black womanhood and the evolving role of women in contemporary society. My art serves as a catalyst for important discussions surrounding workplace bias, microaggressions, and the support disparities faced by marginalized communities, particularly Black women. Afrika Abney In my 2022 piece, "Black Woman,", I captured the beauty and complexity of Black womanhood through employing a rich palette of brown and black hues to convey depth, movement, and emotion, while addressing the unique challenges faced by Black women in society. Committed to advocating for marginalized communities, my art provokes thought and encourages dialogue surrounding issues such as workplace bias, microaggressions, and the lack of managerial support that often hinder the advancement of Bla

Resilience and individuality

Quote found on the Internet “Joshua Waitzkin said, “The moment we believe that success is determined by an ingrained level of ability as opposed to resilience and hard work, we will be brittle in the face of adversity”. Strategic branding initiatives

“Strategic branding initiatives are part of a brand strategy that can help a business succeed in the long term.” Marty Neumeier "Your brand is not what you say it is, it's what they say it is". A brand is based on reputation, and what people say about it is what defines it. Jim Mullen "When you look at a strong brand, you see a promise". East of the Anacostia River

““East of the River” was simply a geographical description without particular significance. But, it later became how some describe the neighborhoods east of the Anacostia River — often with a negative connotation. During the 1930s and 1940s, land development of the area continued alongside increased racial diversification of the region. At the end of World War II, white flight into suburban Maryland and Virginia resulted in a majority-Black Anacostia. The Anacostia River watershed in the District of Columbia and Maryland is home to more than 800,000 people, 43 species of fish and some 200 species of birds. The watershed has been heavily urbanized over time, losing 6,500 acres of wetlands and 70% of its forest cover. Over the past four centuries the Anacostia has been given many names: the Eastern Branch of the Potomac, the other national river, the dirtiest river in the nation, the forgotten river.” I am dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families in un

Passionate about stimulating conversations

Quote found on the Internet “A stimulating conversation is one that causes interest and enthusiasm. Here are some tips for having a stimulating conversation: Ask questions: Ask open-ended questions that encourage people to share their thoughts and feelings. For example, you could ask about their dreams, values, or what excites them. Listen: Listen actively and remember key points. Be intentional: Write down or verbalize your intentions before the conversation. Be humble: Let people introduce themselves and value their time. Be diverse: Use analogies and metaphors, and try to relate to others.” Passionate about stimulating conversations, I focus on the following topics: abstract art, poetry, and black authors, steering clear of divisive topics like politics, racism, discrimination, gun violence, and crime in Washington, D.C. I aim to inspire creativity and intellectual exploration through engaging conversations. My expertise in abstract art has led to successful exhibitions and strong
