On Petite Women

"You don't need to be 'petite' to be beautiful. Being 'curvy' doesn't mean your 'fat.'"- Unknown

"When people meet me in person, they're usually surprised at how petite I am because there's just [an] idea that because I'm black I just look a certain way.-" Misty Copeland

There are many petite women that know me and that I have met many years ago. Some of them include:

Akua Akoto

Afia Akoto

Kadiatou Conte

Dr. Berryman-Johnson

Dr. Hazel Harper

Carlo Perlo

Sylvia Soumah

Maria Tukeva

Kathryn Larkin

Elizabeth Thompson

Brittany Rytter

Debbie Pridgen

Oni Faida

Eloise Greenfield

Now, what is the point of picking on petite women? Are you attracted to petite women? Or do you just like harassing them? Try to get to know the person before passing quick judgements. Personally, as a petite women for over 20 years, I am tired of people picking on me because of my height. I am more than my height and size.

Past Services - Malcolm X Park

Between the ages of 8 and 39, I spent a significant portion of my life at Malcolm X Park, from 1984 until 2015. This park served as a backdrop for my formative years, where I engaged in various activities and experiences that shaped my development. However, since my departure from the park in 2015, I have not offered any services or participated in any events related to it. https://msafrikaabney.weebly.com/malcolm-x-park-dc-drum-and-dance-circle.html

Navy Reflections, digital art created on canvas

Prior to embarking on the creation of my abstract digital paintings on canvas through the use of advanced software, I begin by providing a thorough explanation of the basic digital canvas. This foundational step is crucial as it sets the stage for the artistic process, allowing me to articulate the characteristics and functionalities of the digital medium. Understanding the digital canvas is essential for effectively manipulating the tools and features that will ultimately shape the artwork. Once I have established a clear understanding of the digital canvas, I proceed to the selection of colors and brushes. This phase is integral to my creative process, as the choice of colors can significantly influence the mood and emotional resonance of the painting. I carefully consider the palette, ensuring that it aligns with the vision I have for the piece. Additionally, I select the appropriate brushes that will allow me to achieve the desired textures and effects, enhancing the overall depth...
