Pandemic Affect on Consultants

The pandemic has had a profound impact on consultants, influencing various aspects of their professional lives, including mental health, economic stability, and social interactions. For instance, Ms. Afrika Abney found it necessary to cancel all her scheduled meetings with prospective clients, which significantly hindered her ability to connect and engage with them during this challenging period. The abrupt shift in the business landscape forced many consultants, including Ms. Abney, to reassess their strategies and adapt to the new normal.

As a consultant specializing in services for small businesses and nonprofit organizations, Ms. Abney faced considerable obstacles in delivering her offerings effectively due to the stringent restrictions and regulations imposed since March 9, 2020. The ongoing challenges made it increasingly difficult for her to ensure the success of her services, as the traditional methods of engagement were no longer viable. This situation necessitated a strategic pivot, compelling her to explore alternative avenues to maintain her business operations and support her clients.

In response to the evolving circumstances, Ms. Abney undertook a comprehensive overhaul of her service delivery model, transitioning to online platforms more frequently from March 9, 2020, to August 29, 2023. This shift allowed her to continue providing valuable services despite the limitations imposed by the pandemic. Notably, several events she had planned, such as the Book Party on April 4, 2020, Fearless Public Speaking with Joy Jones on April 11, 2020, and the Butterfly Summit on September 25-26, 2020, were unfortunately canceled due to the pandemic's impact. Following this period, from August 29, 2023, to October 2023, Ms. Abney actively promoted her services by distributing flyers in person for Esther Productions, Inc., demonstrating her commitment to re-engaging with her community and rebuilding her client base.

Djimo Kouyate was from the Malinké tribe, a sub-group of the Mandingo people. Born in Tambacounda, Senegal, he was from a distinguished family of griots who trace their ancestry back to the thirteenth century. A master kora player and a fine singer and dancer, Djimo also played a variety of other instruments including balafon (wooden xylophone), drums, and other string instruments. He worked with the Senegalese National Ballet as a singer and dancer since 1960, and was a founding member of the National Instrumental Ensemble of Senegal."

Simple White

The necessity for acquiring whiteboards has diminished for me, as I ceased offering educational services back in 2018. Since that time, my focus has shifted entirely. I have been working on my branding and digital art where I utilize various digital applications to express my creativity. I am not playing mind games with anyone.I have made it abundantly clear that I am no longer in the role of a student. I was a student from 1978 - 1997 and I will not accept being treated as one. With over three decades of experience providing consulting services, I have established my identity in this field, and I kindly ask that you cease any actions that undermine that status. It is essential for you to understand the importance of respecting my professional journey. I have dedicated many years to honing my craft and building a reputation that reflects my expertise. As a middle school student, I was petite, statics of father absence, had an Afrocentric name, and was asked what I wanted to be. Each of these experiences in some form or another created trauma and were painful for me. Despite these experiences, I continued to develop my career goals.
