For the past 8 years, I have been actively involved more frequently in the Brightwood Area. In fact, I   worked at Center City Brightwood Campus in 2013 when I served as a Reading Tutor.   I have also disseminated numerous flyers in the area from 2018 - 2019 and again from August 2023 - October 2023. "Brightwood is one of DC's oldest upper NW neighborhoods. Founded as White Mill Seat in 1756, then Peter's Mill Seat, to Crystal Springs, then to Brighton around 1860, the neighborhood was primarily farmland and a haven for freed slaves."

  In 2013, I met with Ms. Emily Gaynor as she was the person that I reported to when I served as a Reading Tutor in 2013. The position took place at Center City Brightwood Campus. "Ms. Emily Gaynor has a background in social entrepreneurship, nonprofit management, and sustainable business, and has worked with CPG companies, Certified B Corporations, and national and international nonprofits. She is passionate about making businesses into sustainable and collaborative organizations for all stakeholders, and knows people are the most valuable asset to enduring sustainability. His passion led him to Howard University in Washington, D.C., where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in African American Studies in 1972.
