My name is Afrika

This is an earlier painting that I created many years ago and have given away. I created this painting because my name is Afrika. Although, I am not from Africa, I find that wearing the name Afrika to be highly cultural and as a black person, I am born and raised in Washington, D.C.. My name reflects who I am. I am a professional visual artist who believes in sharing information that is pertinent to my overall background as a professional visual artist. One of which happens to be my name.

Each color shown in the above painting represents my strength for overcoming being picked on about my name. It took me years to appreciate my name.

My name is Afrika.

In 2019, I disseminated many flyers in person. I have not disseminated in flyers nor post cards in person since 2020. All of my services have been conducted online.

Red represents determination, courage, resilience, and creativity.
