Profound Blue Inspiration

Good morning, I woke up a couple hours ago with dark colors floating within my mind from my restful sleep. “The backdrop of the predominant shade in my thoughts is a profound, rich blue that exudes a sense of creativity and sophistication. The intensity of the dark blue not only captures attention but also evokes feelings of calmness and focus. The concept of sophistication in abstract art encompasses a rich tapestry of ideas and techniques that elevate the genre beyond mere visual appeal. It involves a deep understanding of color theory, composition, and the emotional resonance of shapes and forms. The essence of creativity in abstract art lies in its ability to challenge conventional artistic norms and provoke thought that often utilize a variety of techniques, such as layering, gestural brushwork, and the interplay of light and shadow, to create dynamic compositions that captivate the viewer's attention. This freedom of expression not only reflects inner thoughts a...

Insightful Reflections

Insightful Reflections. Digital art created on canvas. September 10, 2024. Afrika Abney My reflections on politics often evoke a palette of somber hues. I perceive political involvement as fundamentally linked to the ideals of integrity and a dedication to the welfare of the community. It is imperative that honesty remains at the forefront of political endeavors, as it serves not only as a moral principle but also as a crucial element in building trust with the electorate. Without this trust, the very fabric of democratic engagement begins to fray, undermining the relationship between leaders and the people they represent.

Abstract Fairness

My experiences include visits to notable locations such as the Smithsonian Zoo, various Smithsonian Museums, Rock Creek Park, and Malcolm X Park. Additionally, I have accumulated a wealth of professional experience, having worked at multiple organizations from 1995 to 2018, which has enriched my understanding of diverse environments and cultures. Reflecting on my early years, I recall being a 12-year-old student at NationHouse in 1988. This formative period played a significant role in shaping my values and perspectives. The places I have visited and the roles I have held have all contributed to my belief in the importance of treating others with dignity. I remain steadfast in my resolve to advocate for fairness an...

Passionate about stimulating conversations

Quote found on the Internet “A stimulating conversation is one that causes interest and enthusiasm. Here are some tips for having a stimulating conversation: Ask questions: Ask open-ended questions that encourage people to share their thoughts and feelings. For example, you could ask about their dreams, values, or what excites them. Listen: Listen actively and remember key points. Be intentional: Write down or verbalize your intentions before the conversation. Be humble: Let people introduce themselves and value their time. Be diverse: Use analogies and metaphors, and try to relate to others.” Passionate about stimulating conversations, I focus on the following topics: abstract art, poetry, and black authors, steering clear of divisive topics like politics, racism, discrimination, gun violence, and crime in Washington, D.C. I aim to inspire creativity and intellectual exploration through engaging conversations. My expertise in abstract art has led to successful exhibitions and strong...
